HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME

A curated management programme that perfectly balances the art and science of hospitality

Approximately 9 nine years ago as the new city Lavasa began to take shape, the realization dawned that given just the planned hospitality development in Lavasa alone there was a severe dearth of qualified leadership. Consequently, it was felt that the only way to meet this gap was to set up an institute that truly groomed industry ready management.

This led to a global search with the assistance of Deloitte and the eventual signing of a collaborative agreement with the famed Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne to develop the first sister school in India.

Creating well rounded hospitality leaders of tomorrow

Not only do students learn in what is unequivocally the best facility in the country, they learn to learn using the unique pedagogy and androgogy of Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne. This creates independent thought and the ability to think holistically when faced with a challenge.

Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne Qualified Learning Facilitators

The Facilitators are all Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne Qualified Learning Facilitators, and the entire process and learning experience is regularly audited by Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne as part of the certification process.

ICHM ADELAIDE

A 2+2 OPTION, OF 2 YEARS IN LAVASA AND 2 YEARS IN ICHM ADELAIDE

About ICHM Adelaide

Since being established in 1992 in partnership with the Swiss Hotel Association (SHA) and the South Australian Government, ICHM has produced graduates of the highest calibre that now work at all levels of management within the international hospitality industry.

ICHM’s unique “One Program, Two Degrees” course prepares you for a career in a wide variety of hospitality businesses. It also equips you with the necessary business acumen to work in a number of other professions outside the industry. The balance of theory and real industry placements provides graduates with a genuine advantage when competing for future employment.

Academic Semesters

During the academic semesters ICHM students are broadly informed about all aspects of the international hospitality industry, from a basic operational perspective right through to a senior management level within broader social, cultural and economic contexts.

Industry Placements

They are then provided with real industry placements within Australia or overseas that allow them to learn the industry first hand beyond the walls of their structured classes. This real world experience is invaluable in helping them understand the theoretical concepts they have learnt within a working environment; it also allows them to build significant industry networks.

ICHM graduates are working globally as supervisors and specialists right through to senior and general managers. A number also work outside the industry in areas such as marketing, IT, human resources and their own businesses.
